Orange and yellow alerts are activated due to frost and low temperatures in CDMX


The Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) reported that an orange alert is activated due to the forecast of low temperatures and frosts, in the demarcations of Milpa Alta and Tlalpan.

Temperatures between 1 and 3 degrees Celsius are forecast between 04:00 and 08:00 on the morning of Sunday, January 16, 2022.

While the Yellow Alert is activated due to the forecast of low temperatures for the Municipalities of Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Tláhuac and Xochimilco.

Temperatures of between 4 and 6 degrees Celsius are expected between 04:00 and 08:00 on Sunday, January 16, 2022.

For this reason, they recommended that the population wear at least three layers of clothing, preferably cotton or wool; use cream to protect and moisturize the skin against the cold, avoid exposure to sudden changes in temperature, drink plenty of water; consume fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins A and C.
