El Organismo Internacional de Energ铆a At贸mica (OIEA) inform贸 este viernes que sus especialistas inspeccionaron los tejados de la central nuclear de Zaporiyia y no encontraron explosivos ni minas.

鈥淟os expertos de la organizaci贸n no observaron minas ni explosivos en los techos de los edificios de los reactores de las unidades tres y cuatro ni en las salas de turbinas de la planta de energ铆a nuclear de Zaporiyia, en Ucrania, despu茅s de haber tenido acceso ayer por la tarde鈥, asegur贸 el director general de la OIEA, el argentino Rafael Grossi.

鈥淩eitero mi llamado a todas las partes para que se abstengan de acciones que puedan conducir a un accidente nuclear con posibles consecuencias para la salud p煤blica y el medio ambiente鈥, destac贸 Grossi.

El funcionario tambi茅n inform贸 que no se han retirado las minas halladas el 23 de julio en el per铆metro de la planta, en un 谩rea que, seg煤n Mosc煤, est谩 "a espaldas" de la central y restringida al personal de la planta.

Adem谩s, la OIEA se mantiene solicitando poder tener acceso a los techos de las otras cuatro unidades de la planta.聽Ante las acusaciones mutuas de Kiev y Mosc煤, el organismo exigi贸 un mejor acceso para verificar los hechos sobre el terreno, de manera independiente y objetiva.

Ucrania hab铆a acusado a Mosc煤 a principios de julio de preparar una 鈥減rovocaci贸n鈥 y el ej茅rcito afirm贸 que 鈥渟e hab铆an colocado objetos similares a artefactos explosivos鈥 en los techos de los reactores tres y cuatro. Por su parte, el Kremlin advirti贸 de un posible 鈥渁cto subversivo鈥 ucranio con 鈥渃onsecuencias catastr贸ficas鈥.

Situada en el sureste de Ucrania, Zaporiyia resulta la planta at贸mica m谩s grande de Europa y es controlada por las tropas rusas desde el 4 de marzo del 2022, luego de ser blanco de disparos. Tambi茅n se ha desconectado de la red el茅ctrica en varias ocasiones, situaci贸n tensa que hace temer un accidente nuclear.
