How do I play Melate?

The Melate draw is one of the classic draws in Mexico. It takes place on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays after sales close at 9:15 p.m. The economic market is announced days in advance.

The money varies from draw to draw and if there are no winners it accumulates and that is why it increases each time until there is a lucky one.

The Melate draw is carried out through a ballot box from which seven numbers are selected. The first six are called natural and the seventh is known as additional. To get a prize it is necessary that at least two natural numbers match your ticket. The more winning numbers on your scorecard, the greater the prize you will get from the bag.

The way to participate is to fill out a Melate ballot that has five sections with 56 numbers each. The player must choose six numbers per section. Each user has their own way of doing it, whether through tradition, lucky numbers, etc. There is also the possibility of leaving everything in the hands of the computer and having it select the numbers.

Each combination of six numbers costs 15 pesos, but there is the possibility of purchasing up to 10 numbers to have up to 210 combinations, although this will have an extra cost.

When buying seven numbers you have to pay 105 pesos to have seven combinations. If you buy eight numbers it amounts to 420 pesos with 28 combinations. Nine numbers offer you 84 combinations and a cost of 1,260 pesos. 10 numbers allow 210 combinations for 3,150 pesos.

How do I play Melate Revancha?

It is a second draw that takes place after the Melate and you can play by paying 10 additional pesos to your ticket. This means that your same combination of six numbers will work for the second drawing for a total payment of 25 pesos.

How do I play Melate Revanchita?

It is a third draw that takes place on the same day as Melate and Melate Revancha. The same combination can be played by adding five pesos to the 25 already paid for Melate and Melate Revancha.

Where do I collect the Melate prize?

If your prize is up to 9,999 pesos you can do it at any National Lottery-Electronic Sweepstakes agency. Amounts above 3 thousand pesos can be collected at bank branches of BBVA, Banamex, Banorte, Santander or Scotiabank.

Another option is to attend the central offices located at Av. Insurgentes Sur 1397, Insurgentes Mixcoac neighborhood in the Benito Juárez mayor's office from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. There you can collect any amount.

Don't forget that taxes will be deducted from the prize amount, so the initial amount will be reduced at the time of collection.

You only have 60 calendar days to collect your prize.

In all cases you must present the original ticket and an official identification to make the payment valid.
