Likewise, the Ministry of Defense of Japan warned of the launch of the missiles "possibly of a ballistic type", although the authorities of the Asian country are waiting for more information.

Local Japanese media also assured that the island nation's Coast Guard announced that the missile could have already landed in the waters of the East Sea, outside the Exclusive Economic Zone.

It would be the fifteenth launch of missiles of this type carried out by the North Korean government so far in 2023 and the second in less than a month; Well, on July 12, it fired, as a test, a Hwasong-18, its most sophisticated intercontinental ballistic missile.

In the early hours of this Saturday, North Korea also launched several cruise missiles into the Yellow Sea. According to JCS sources, the intelligence services of South Korea and the United States (USA) analyze them to find out what type of missiles they are.

The launches follow the first shipment to the area in decades by the US of a submarine capable of carrying nuclear weapons and last week a US soldier crossed the border into North Korea, where he is currently being held; which has increased the tension between both countries.
