Organized crime in Guerrero did its thing again by executing Bruno Plácido Valerio, leader of the Union of Peoples and Organizations of the State of Guerrero, considered for years one of the strong self-defense groups in the entity.

Bruno Plácido Valerio was founder of the Regional Coordinator of Community Authorities-Community Police, however, after being expelled in 2011 he organized to create Upoeg, the second largest organization in Guerrero of civilians who provide security.

According to the Leaked Information, Plácido Valerio was threatened on different occasions by various criminal groups in the Costa Chica, including the so-called Independent Cartel of Acapulco and some cells of Los Ardillos, Tequileros or the Familia Michoacana.

The information currently handled within the State Prosecutor's Office indicates that there was a union between a faction of the Pacific Cartel, called "The Russians" who made an agreement with some members of the Upoeg for the transfer of drugs and planting. of poppies in various areas of the state.

In addition to the fact that investigations indicate that this union carried out extortions, kidnappings, homicides and drug sales in the region that are disputed with factions of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the remnants of the Independent Cartel of Acapulco.

Regarding the alleged union between the UPOEG and “Los Rusos”, the Guerrero Prosecutor's Office indicated that the community police have a strong presence in more than 15 municipalities of the Costa Chica, from where speedboats and aircraft operate in favor of the criminal organization that traffics drugs from South America.

Death came to Bruno Placido unannounced in front of the Ministry of Health in Chilpancingo, a death from which he had been saved in various confrontations with criminal groups; Now, criminal cells are taking power in the entity day by day.
