Nissan revealed report for the first half of fiscal year 2022

In the case of Nissan Motor Co.one of the Asian giants with a strong presence in the industry, has revealed a full report on the results obtained during the first half of fiscal year 2022.
The consolidated net income of the company increased from 715.3 billion yen to 4.66 trillion yen, with a significant increase in consolidated operating profit from 17.5 billion yen to 156.6 billion yen. Thus, the operating profit margin was 3.4%, while the net income was 64.5 billion yen.
Nissan assures that revenue and operating profit have been successfully achieved despite a "harsh business environment" established during the first half of the fiscal year, highlighting the sharp increase in raw material prices, a situation that affected several manufacturers in the automotive sector.
Also, the organization emphasized the drop in sales volume below the level reflected during the past year as a result of semiconductor supply shortages, coupled with the notable impact of COVID-19 pandemic-related lockdowns in Shanghai, China.
On the other hand, Nissan claims to have improved net income per unit after improving the quality of sales in each company's market, where it highlighted the reduction of selling expenses through the constant implementation of the Nissan NEXT transformation plan.
Nissan prospects for 2023
Nissan expects sales volume to fall 7.5% from the previous forecast of 3.7 million units for the 12-month period ending March 31. Similarly, they plan to deal with continued supply shortages of semiconductors, in addition to rising raw material prices.
Finally, taking into consideration all these factors, the Asian manufacturer forecast for the entire fiscal year 2022900 billion yen upward adjustment in net income and 110 billion yen increase in operating profit compared to the previous forecast.
