A shooting on Friday night in the Mexican state of Jalisco left at least six dead.

The Jalisco state Prosecutor's Office indicated that the shooting took place in the town of Teocaltiche, in the midst of the celebrations of a new anniversary of the independence of the North American country.
The entity indicated that the armed incident occurred inside a nightclub in the town, so municipal police went to the site to begin investigations into the shooting.

"Inside a bar located in the Maravillas neighborhood, several people were attacked with shots, so municipal police moved to the site," he said.

The town of Teocaltiche, north of Guadalajara, capital of Jalisco, was the scene of another shooting attack on September 2 in which two police officers died.
