New poll confirms Lula's leadership for the ballot in Brazil | News

A new poll published this Thursday by the Quaest polling firm reiterated that the leader of the Workers' Party (PT) and presidential candidate, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has 48 percent in intention to vote ahead of the ballot scheduled for 30 October.

According to the investigation, Lula's opponent, the current Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, would obtain 41 percent support in these elections.

Regarding the valid votes, which do not include blank or invalid votes, the PT candidate would achieve victory with 54 percent support, while Bolsonaro would receive 46 percent.



The survey was conducted between October 3 and 5, in which some 2,000 people were interviewed, and has a margin of error of plus or minus two percentage points.

In the first round of the presidential elections, held on October 2, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) reported that Lula obtained 48.43 percent of the votes, that is, 57,259,504.

For his part, Bolsonaro reached 43.20 percent support, which represents a total of 51,072,345 votes.
