The families of some of the hostages made an urgent call this Saturday to meet with Netanyahu and the Defense Minister amid fears for the safety of their loved ones as a new phase of the Israeli military operation in Gaza has been entered.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahuis reunited with the families of the 229 kidnapped by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas in the attack against Israel on the 7thhis Office reported this Saturday in a statement.

Last night was the worst since the start of Israel's war against Hamas, with massive bombardments targeting the Islamist group's tunnels and bunkers in the northern part of the enclave and the entry of ground troops.

A total of 7,703 people have died in Gaza and 18,967 have been injured by the bombings that Israel has carried out since a surprise Hamas raid on Israeli territory three weeks ago took the lives of 1,400 people. Another 229 were kidnapped and have remained in the hands of the Islamist group ever since.
