The general director of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, met with officials from the government of Quintana Roo to analyze the progress of the National Agreement for the Federalization of the Health System for Well-being in the entity.

At the work meeting, 854 thousand people who lack social security were identified, who will benefit from the services of the IMSS Bienestar.

Zoé Robledo reported that as of June 2023, in Quintana Roo, 1,253 million pesos (mp) have been invested in the maintenance of 58 Health Centers, of the 205 existing ones, as well as in eight of the 18 hospitals and 854 million pesos in equipment. of four hospital units.

Zoé Robledo recognized the transformation of the health system in the entity and thanked Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa for her commitment.

The general director of Social Security took the opportunity to supervise the work of the IMSS Bienestar Hospital in Tulum.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Célida Duque Molina, director of Medical Benefits of the IMSS; Flavio Carlos Rosado, Secretary of Health in the entity; Eugenio Segura Vázquez, Secretary of Finance and Planning; the head of the IMSS in Quintana Roo, Dr. Enrique Ureña Bogarín, and Dr. Moisés Toledo Pensamiento, state coordinator of IMSS-BIENESTAR.
