Montgomery County Holiday Calendar for a few days in June


Montgomery County Government is announcing the following schedule changes for the formal June 16 celebration on Monday, June 20:

  • County Offices: Closed.
  • State offices and courts: closed.
  • State Administration of Motor Vehicles offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program stations: Closed.
  • Libraries: closed.
  • County-Operated COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Clinics: Closed
  • Alcoholic Beverage Services (ABS): Most stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Ride On—Will operate on a holiday schedule using the schedules that went into effect May 8. Those schedules can be viewed at
  • Ride On extRa and Flex: not in service.
  • Flash: Will operate on a weekend schedule (Orange Line only).
  • MARC Train and Commuter Bus: Regular Sunday Penn Line service on Sunday, June 19. Schedule R on all three lines, plus Penn Line trains 453 and 452 will operate on Monday, June 20.
  • TRiPS Silver Spring Traveler Store: Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store—Closed.
  • Metrorail and Metrobus: Metrorail will operate on its Sunday schedule on Sunday, June 19, with service from 7 a.m. to midnight. On Monday, June 20, it will operate on a Saturday holiday schedule, with service between 5 am and midnight. Metrobus will operate on a Monday through Friday June 20 schedule.   • Parking in public garages, lots, curbside meters—Free.
  • County-Collected Trash and Recycling: County-collected trash and recycling will take place as usual on Monday, June 20. Collections for the remainder of the week will also be held on a regular schedule.
  • Shady Grove Processing Center and Transfer Station: Closed Sunday, June 19. Open Monday June 20.
  • Recreation: The county’s outdoor aquatic facilities will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. Indoor aquatic facilities will close at 6 p.m.
  • Community Recreation and Senior Centers: Closed.
