Mexico.- Herrera has been awarded a financial sanction after his comments against the Liga MX refereeing last Saturday, November 4, at Club América vs Club Tijuana.

Miguel Herrera has once again earned a punishment from the Disciplinary Commission of Mexican soccer, after he ranted against the referees of his current match.

The Club Tijuana coach will have to pay a good amount of money to obtain the “forgiveness” of those responsible for dispensing justice during the 2023 Apertura.

“He issued a public statement that violated the Sanctions Regulations of the Mexican Football Federation, specifically article 71,” the Mexican organization explained in the statement.

“Mr. Miguel Ernesto Herrera Aguirre is warned about his future conduct, since in the event that this type of actions arise again, the Disciplinary Commission may impose more severe sanctions against him,” they ruled.

Miguel Herrera was once again betrayed by his ideals last Saturday, November 4, after consummating a landslide defeat on the Azteca Stadium field against Club America.

In the post-match conference, the Mexican strategist of the Xolos placed all the blame for his disaster at the Aguilas' home on the referees, because according to him; They seriously harmed him.

“It's not fair to each other. The cards were clear here and not there. There were similar plays. If you are going to take out, let them be from both sides,” commented Piojo.

“It is not consistent with what he whistles and it is not consistent with the cards. For one side he serves quickly and for the other side he does,” the former coach of the American squad concluded angrily.

Club Tijuana has recovered positions in recent weeks and is close to the league positions for the Apertura 2023, where it could qualify directly if Club Pumas loses its match.

If those led by Miguel Herrera do the same and beat CF Pachuca, they will be competing in the elimination phase of the Liga MX no matter what.
