The Mexican delegation took another gold this Thursday through Lizeth Rueda in the women's triathlon.

Rueda completed the three tests that make up the event with a time of one hour, 57 minutes and seven seconds.
The Mexican athlete took advantage of only 21 seconds over the Colombian María Velázquez who took the silver by closing with a time of 1:57.28.

The bronze went to the also Mexican Rosa María Tapia who crossed the finish line in 1:57.52.
Mexico thus reached 37 gold medals, taking third place, surpassed by Brazil (40 gold) and the United States (85 gold medals).
In total, in addition to the 37 gold medals, Mexico has 23 silver and 38 bronze medals.
