The road to the 2026 World Cup began in Qatar…

Mexico, United States and Canada started the countdown towards the World Cup 2026, organized by the three countries, one day after the inauguration of the Qatar World Cup 2022.

Marcelo Ebrard, Antony Blinken and Harjit Sajjan lived with young soccer players of different nationalities in Qatar.

In front of young soccer players of different nationalities, the chancellor of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard; United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken; and the Minister of International Development of Canada, Harjit Sajjan.

The Mexican foreign minister pointed out:

Today is the first preparatory event for the 2026 World Cup.

Also, Ebrard Casaubon explained that each of the three countries that will jointly organize the sports fair will work on infrastructure, but in coordination with the other nations.

He highlighted the value of North America, as an integrated region, organize the next World Cup.

It is the first time that there is a World Cup organized by three countries, it is the first time that a region of the world projects itself as such.

In the case of Mexico It will be the third time that I organize the World Cup, after the editions in 1970, when Brazil was crowned, and 1986, where Argentina won the FIFA Trophy.
