Mexico registers a new record in infections by COVID-19: 47 thousand 113 thousand in 24 hours


Mexico registered in the last 24 hours 47 thousand 113 thousand new cases and 227 deaths from COVID-19, thus reaching a total of 4 million 349 thousand 182 infections and 301 thousand 334 confirmed deaths, informed the Ministry of Health.

The daily Technical Report mentions that there is 314 thousand 065 estimated active cases and 3 million 420 thousand 180 people have recovered from the disease.

At the national level, the occupation of beds for the care of this disease was reduced by 82 percent in relation to the highest point of the second epidemic wave in January 2021.

Regarding the behavior of COVID-19, epidemiological week 52 closes with 211 percent increase in the number of estimated cases compared to the previous week.

The first 10 entities that accumulate the highest number of cases are: Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, Sonora, Puebla, Veracruz and San Luis Potosí, which together make up 65% of all accumulated cases registered in the country.
