Tokyo, Nov 10 (EFECOM).- Mexico announced to Japan its withdrawal from the Osaka Universal Exhibition, which will be held in 2025 in this Japanese city, according to local media, becoming the first country to make this decision, in an event marked by construction delays and bureaucratic obstacles.

The country communicated the withdrawal on Thursday to those responsible for the event, according to the Japanese news agency Jiji, after having expressed its intention to build its own pavilion, also known as type A, and whose construction and maintenance is the responsibility of the guest country.

This decision would have been motivated by the Mexican presidential elections scheduled for June 2024, which call into question the budget planned for the meeting, in addition to the delays that are already affecting the event. EFECOM
