This Saturday, Mexico finished 1-2-3 in the 50-meter breaststroke category SB2 specialty, achieving its first medals at the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games.

The gold went to the Paralympic and world multiple medalist JosĂ© Arnulfo Castorena, while the silver and bronze went to Christopher Gregorio Tronco Sánchez and Marcos Rafael Zárate RodrĂguez, 23 years old.
The National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports of Mexico (Conade) reported that during this day the Mexican delegation obtained a total of 15 medals (two gold, five silver and eight bronze).
The medals were obtained in the specialties of swimming, table tennis and weight lifting.
At the end of the first day of competitions of the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games, Brazil leads the medal table with 46 medals in total (19 gold, 14 silver and 13 bronze).
Following on the list are Argentina (17 in total), Colombia (17), Chile (13), the United States (15), Mexico (15), Canada (4) and Cuba (3).
The Parapan American Games taking place in the Chilean capital were inaugurated last Friday and will conclude on November 26.
