Mexico convenes economic alliance against inflation in Latin America | News
The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, announced this Thursday an alliance project focused on fighting inflation jointly between the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

"We are going to carry out an anti-inflation plan of mutual aid for growth, for economic-commercial exchange with Latin American countries. Yesterday with this purpose I spoke with President Lula; also with President Petro, of Colombia; with President Miguel Díaz-Canel, from Cuba; I spoke with the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández," he revealed.
Similarly, the head of state reported that there are still calls to be made to link governments to the initiative.

In this sense, López Obrador announced that he will communicate with the president of Honduras Xiomara Castro, while Alberto Fernández will discuss this issue with the president of Chile, Gabriel Boric and his Bolivian counterpart, Luis Arce Catacora.
On the idea, AMLO explained that it is, initially, to invite distributors, merchants and importers to negotiate prices, while the countries will eliminate tariffs and other barriers that influence the regional food market.
Likewise, the Executive added that work will begin with the foreign ministers, secretaries of Finance, heads of Economy and Commerce, to delve into exchanges for exports, food imports and other actions and thus face the rise in prices through joint work. .
The President of Mexico also reported that the parties will meet by teleconference on April 5 and then agree to a face-to-face meeting in Mexico.
