The Mexican team The women's volleyball team won a thrilling bronze medal by beating Argentina 2-3 at the Parque O'Higgins Arena at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. They had not won a Pan American medal for 48 years.

The duel was very close. From the first set it was close. Argentina won it 25-22, so the Mexicans came from behind to win it 23-25.
For the third set, Argentina repeated the dose to Mexico as in the first to take it 25-22. For the fourth there was a comeback by the Mexicans (18-25) to tie the match at two sets per side.
In a very even fifth set from start to finish, the Mexicans won 13-15 to win the bronze medal.
The Argentines committed 30 errors compared to 22 by the Mexicans. The nationals had four ace serves.
In the end, the Mexicans brought out the steps with the music that was heard in the Arena.
