Mexican Red Cross adds 1,820 tons of aid delivered in Guerrero after Otis

The Mexican Red Cross announced that so far it has distributed 1,820 tons of humanitarian aid to approximately 473,000 victims of Hurricane Otis in the state of Guerrero.

He highlighted that the national president of the Mexican Red Cross, Carlos Freaner, accompanied by the vice president of the institution, Eduardo de Agüero; The general director, José Antonio Monroy, and the national advisor and delegate of the State of Mexico, Jorge Forastieri, made their second visit to the state, specifically to the Port of Acapulco and Coyuca de Benítez.

During their stay, they took a tour of the place where medical care is provided to the population, where help has been provided to a total of 4,877 people, with a crucial service to guarantee the health and well-being of those who are there. in emergency situation.

The national president of the Mexican Red Cross took advantage of his stay in the communities affected by Otis to record a video in order to invite the population not to let their guard down and continue donating.

"Here it is, you can see it behind my back, the trucks are full and they are being unloaded directly to the community that needs it, we continue to request the support of the entire community to be able to support this population that is so lacerated, so affected and so vulnerable. ", he stated.

Food kits, personal hygiene kits, home kits and baby kits are being assembled daily, so the permanent collaboration of volunteers who can attend the collection center where the donations are received is required.
