In Mexico City, a unit of the Metrobus caught fire on the morning of this Thursday, October 5, 2023 in front of the Upiicsa facilities of the National Polytechnic Instituteso the service is affected only at that station.

It was at approximately 11:41 a.m. that the accident occurred in the unit that ended up stranded between flames and dense smoke at the Upiicsa station. According to the director of the Metrobús, no users were traveling in the affected unit, so she assured that there are no injured people.

“The situation at the Upiicsa station was controlled,” he said.

It was at 11:33 a.m. that the operator of the Metrobús unit that caught fire informed the Control Center of said means of transportation about a failure, so it stopped when arriving at the Upiicsa station, located on Té Avenue in the Iztacalco mayor's office, to go down and check what was happening.
