Maximum sentence confirmed for Ingrid Escamilla's feminicide
The Attorney General's Office (FGJ) of Mexico City, managed to confirm the judgment sentence of 70 years in prison against Erick Francisco "N", for the feminicide of his partner sentimental Ingrid Escamilla occurred in February 2020.
In a message to the media, Ulises Laraspokesperson for the institution, explained that the sentence was confirmed in the second instance by a court.
"As it will be remembered, in October 2022, the social representative of this Prosecutor's Office obtained the conviction that ordered this custodial sentence, but the convicted person, through his defense, presented appeal".
"For that reason, the agent of the Public Ministry of our General Coordination of Accusation, Procedure and Prosecution enriched the elements of evidence that had been presented; this allowed the judicial authority to confirm the sentence, in addition to ordering again payment of compensation and funeral expenses," he said.
The official recalled that the investigations established that Erick Francisco “N"deprived the young woman of her life in an apartment that they both lived in in the Vallejo neighborhood.
"The opinions expertcarried out by experts from this Prosecutor's Office, established that Erick Francisco “N” was the material author of this atrocious crime," he said.
