Marcelo Flores faces his new challenge with a lot of ambition: “I can help Oviedo get to the First Division”

The Mexican Marcelo Flores is already in Oviedo, the city where he will start his new career after leaving Arsenal on loan and to which he arrived this Friday afternoon to see the Carlos Tartiere stadium and sign his contract with Real Oviedo, the club with which he wants to be promoted to the First Division and show “the footballer he can become.”

I am so happy to be here, and everything I’ve seen so far I’ve liked a lot. It is a very beautiful city and I am very happy to have come to it. I’m ready to start training and help however I can”, commented the new blue footballer upon his arrival in the Asturian capital.

Flores is able to help fight for promotion to First Divisionbut he recognized that all this success comes from “working hard every day, contributing everything possible to the team and showing what a footballer I can become”.

Although he has only been in the land of his great-grandparents for a few hours, Flores has already had the opportunity to feel closely -especially through social networks- the illusion that his signing has aroused among the blue fans.

I have to thank the fans for supporting me like this and receiving me as well as they have. I’m ready to start looking for those wins and score goals so they’re a little closer”, the Oviedo player told the club.

The pearl of Aztec soccer landed at Asturias airport around three in the afternoonaccompanied by his father Rubén Flores, and immediately afterwards he went to the Carlos Tartiere to stamp his signature on the contract and advance his incorporation into the Oviedista dynamic, pending only a medical examination.

Once in Oviedo, he set foot on what will be his court until the end of the season and he did it also wearing the shirt that he will wear this campaign, in which his name is already stamped with number 19 on the back.
