López Obrador meets with Amos J. Hochstein, US energy security coordinator
The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, met for four hours with a delegation of US officials led by Ambassador Ken Salazar and Amos J. Hochstein, special presidential coordinator for global infrastructure and energy security.
The meeting began minutes after 10 in the morning - just after the presidential morning conference this Monday - and concluded after two in the afternoon.
From social networks, the Mexican president assured that the work meeting at the National Palace was very interesting.
“We had a long and interesting conversation with Amos J. Hochstein, special presidential coordinator for Global Infrastructure and Energy Security of the United States government. Even though the economic and commercial relations between our countries have been strengthened like never before, it is essential to continue planning together for the placement of new investments and the creation of jobs,” López Obrador shared on his X account.
In the morning, the president said in the morning conference that the meeting would discuss issues on the bilateral agenda such as migration and combating fentanyl trafficking.
