Gobiernos de varios países ofrecieron este lunes ayuda a Türkiye y Siria para paliar las consecuencias del sismo de 7,8 grados que ha dejado, hasta ahora, más de 2.300 muertos y casi 11.000 heridos en ambas naciones.

El presidente ruso, Vladímir Putin, sostuvo una conversación telefónica con su homólogo sirio, Bachar al Asad, en la que le propuso el envío de rescatistas del Ministerio de Emergencias de Rusia, los cuales partirán en las próximas horas.
De igual forma, según informó el servicio de prensa del Kremlin, el mandatario ruso conversará esta jornada con su par turco, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, donde le propondrá la ayuda necesaria para enfrentar los impactos del devastador terremoto.
El Departamento para Situaciones del Gobierno de Rumanía enviará a Türkiye 60 efectivos especializados en este tipo de emergencias, siete toneladas de equipos y cuatro perros entrenados para encontrar a personas bajo escombros.
Esta muestra solidaria se produce luego de que el canciller de Países Bajos, Wopke Hoekstra, anunciara que su país "enviará un equipo de búsqueda y rescate urbano a Türkiye. Este equipo incluye personal policial y militar, personal de primeros auxilios y bomberos”.

El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Siria pidió a través de un comunicado a "los miembros de la ONU, la Secretaría General de la Organización, sus agencias y fondos especializados, el Comité Internacional de la Cruz Roja y otros socios de acción humanitaria de organizaciones gubernamentales y ONGs internacionales para extender una mano de ayuda y apoyar los esfuerzos realizados por el gobierno sirio para hacer frente a la catástrofe".
La diplomacia árabe precisó que la nación necesita apoyo en "la búsqueda de personas vivas, rescate de personas atrapadas bajo los escombros, recuperación de cadáveres y suministro de alimentos y asistencia sanitaria, refugio y suministros a las personas afectadas por este desastre natural".
