King Felipe VI receives and congratulates the Spanish National Team | Video
HM King Felipe VI has received this Monday in the Zarzuela Palace to the Spain national teamwhom he congratulated after winning the title this Sunday in the UEFA Nations League after beating in the Final Croatia in the penalty shootout 5-4.
The expedition, led by the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubialesand by the selector Louis de la Fuente, has received the congratulations of the monarch, and has spoken with him about the details of the Final Four in the Netherlands, where they also beat Italy in the semifinals (2-1). Also present at the event was the newly appointed president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), Victor Francos.
Subsequently, Felipe VI, IThe leaders, the coaching staff and the players posed on the steps leading to the Zarzuela Palace, where the King took the trophy that accredits Spain as champion of the League of Nations, the fifth gimped for 'la Roja' after three Euro Cups (1964, 2008 and 2012) and a World Cup (2010).
In addition, the RFEF presented the monarch with a Spanish team jersey signed by all the championswith the number 12 on his back and the name 'Felipe VI'.
The champions will celebrate the title at the WiZink Center of Madrid, where there will be a show prior to the arrival of the players.
