From the Laguna Grande San Pedro de la Paz, Mexico won a new Gold medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in the event K2 500 meters of Speed Boating Feminine.

Karina Alanís and Beatriz Briones were the Mexican representatives, the same ones who obtained the best test time by stopping the stopwatch on 1:41.98.
The closest pursuers of Alanís and Briones were the Argentines Brenda Rojas and María Garrowho They crossed the finish line just 0.47 seconds behind of the Mexican representation.
Who they completed the podium it was the canadians Madeline Schmidt and Laura Scottwho registered their trademark in 1:42.84.
Finally, Cuba, Colombia, USA, Venezuela and Chile finished without the possibility of getting on the podium in what marked the penultimate day of activities for the 2023 Pan American Gamesthe same one in which Speed Canoeing culminated its activity.
Inside of the Speed BoatingMexico added two more medals in the competition, which were divided between Gold and Bronze:
- Gold / K4 500 meters Women - Karina Alanís, Beatriz Briones, Maricela Montemayor and Brenda Gutiérrez.
- Bronze / K1 500 meters Women - Beatriz Briones.
