Juan Toscano, the only Mexican NBA champion, will play with Capitanes de la CDMX
The Captains of Mexico City announced this Saturday Juan Toscano-Anderson as a new addition to the team for the 2023-24 season of the NBA G League.
Toscano-Anderson has in his record a NBA championship in 2022 with the Golden State Warriorstwo from the Mexican National Professional Basketball League (LNBP) (2017 and 2019) and being named the most valuable player of the LNBP in 2018.

He Mexican-American, stated in a team statement.
I am very excited about this part of my journey because Mexico is where I began my professional career in 2015. I have been able to embrace my culture over these years and I hope to continue building the legacy. I am very excited and grateful to Capitanes for giving me this opportunity to connect with my people again.
Toscano had action with the Utah Jazz during the 2022-23 NBA season. Juan appeared in 22 games, averaging 3.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. During that season, he was also part of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Mexican also played for Golden State from 2019 to 2022.
Mexican basketball has a lot of potential, I have seen the vision that Capitanes has, I have seen what they have done so far, I like to be part of this and make a difference for Mexican basketball.
Possible debut for Toscano?
Capitanes' first game this season will be played on November 10 against the Osceola Magic at the CDMX Arena.
