Jay de la Cueva denies that there are problems in Moderatto
It was at the beginning of August that Moderate announced their separation after more than 20 years of being together. For this reason, they have organized a goodbye tour to say goodbye to their fans.
The decision came after the vocalist Jay Cave he launched as a soloist and published the song 'Tokyo' to welcome this new stage.
Recently, during a press conference Jay of the Cueva ruled out problems between the members of the band and stated that they are in a great moment to say goodbye.
We are still friends. We leave in a very privileged situation, the group does not separate because we can't stand each other. Part of the things that are lost is the engine with which you start something, it is a fact that those of us who started 24 years ago are no longer the same," he said.
Jay highlighted that it was he who took the initiative to separate and the others had a hard time adapting to their changes.
When you have a band it starts and then you turn around and wonder who they are. "I think they had a harder time seeing my changes because I'm a demanding musician," he continued.
Finally, he pointed out that, although many initially saw Moderatto as a joke, made important changes.
Many people thought Moderatto was a joke, it wasn't. It is a group with a lot of humor, a group that did not take ourselves seriously, but we did take it seriously with our work, whether people liked it or not. I feel proud to belong to Moderatto and I honor the name of the band. They are people we will meet along the way. The five of us are grieving and we are processing it."
