Italy reports another 380 deaths from Covid-19 in one day | News

The Italian Ministry of Health registered 380 fatalities to Covid-19 this Wednesday, for a cumulative 142,205 deaths from the disease since the start of the pandemic.

According to the entity, this day 192,320 infections of the Sars-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, were reported; Therefore, the number of confirmed positive cases in the country since the beginning of the global pandemic amounted to 9,219,391 patients.

It should be noted that, as reflected in the official Italian Civil Protection bulletin, the Lombardy region has the highest number of infections with 37,200 positives; seconded by Veneto, with around 21,200 infections; while Emilia Romagna reports 20,650 confirmed.

As for active cases, the health agency reported that there was an increase from 2,562,156 to 2,626,590 positives in that European country.

Likewise, the number of hospital admissions presents a gradual increase, with 25 new hospitalized in the rehabilitation rooms, for a total of 21,188 patients; while 1,688 admissions were recorded in intensive care units.

Italy has 121.8 million anticovid doses applied, which represents almost 87 percent of the population over 12 years of age immunized with the complete vaccination schedule; in the case of the booster dose, only 28.2 million people have received it.
