According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, in the town of Beita, occupied Nablus province, Zionist forces opened fire on civilians who staged the weekly demonstration against the construction of illegal settlements, injuring two Palestinians with live bullets, already another seven with rubber-coated projectiles.
Local media detail that the occupation forces also used to repress stun grenades and tear gas bombs, the latter causing more than a dozen cases of suffocation due to inhalation of these compounds.
Palestinians in that town have been protesting for nine months against the construction of the illegal Israeli outpost of Evaytar, on the crest of Mount Jabal Sabih, which adjoins the village; a situation that has resulted in the death of several Palestinians and several dozen wounded.
Meanwhile, in the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya in the West Bank itself, Israeli soldiers attacked civilians who mobilized demanding the reopening of the entrance to said community, closed by the Zionist regime for more than 17 years.
The balance of that episode of repression, after the Israeli soldiers opened fire indiscriminately, was three wounded by bullets, and dozens suffocated by tear gas.
Events to which was added the arrest of five Palestinians in the West Bank towns of Zububa, Jenin, Qalqiliya and Kafr Qaddum, located in the north of that region.
Local media reported that the Zububa resident was arbitrarily arrested in Israeli territory; while three others were arrested after the occupation forces broke into and searched their homes in Jenin and Qalqiliya.
The last of them was the victim of a similar violation of his rights in the Kafr Qaddum community, an expression of a habitual practice by Zionist soldiers under the argument of capturing "wanted" Palestinians, without a search warrant, in any site and time; arbitrarily and violating the most basic principles of the United Nations Charter of Human Rights.
In fact, Israeli military law grants full executive, legislative and judicial authority to its military command over the nearly three million Palestinians residing in the occupied West Bank, who cannot take any action against that arbitrary power.
In addition to enduring the devastation and usurpation of land by more than 700,000 Israeli settlers who illegally live in these territories.
