Israel: Pacemaker implanted in Benjamin Netanyahu
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, underwent surgery early Sunday morning in which he was successfully implanted with a pacemaker, His office reported in a statement in which it ensures that the president is in good condition and could be discharged during the day.
“The medical procedure that the Prime Minister underwent concluded successfully. The prime minister is feeling well and will remain at Sheba Hospital for observation, and is expected to be released later in the day," the note said.
The 73-year-old president was discharged precisely a week ago after being hospitalized in an emergency.
Israeli media claimed that he had fainted after feeling pain in his chest, but the official version was that he had suffered from dehydration.

During the medical procedure this morning, the Minister of Justice, Yariv Levin, a great ally of Netayahu, he replaced the prime minister.
The weekly Cabinet meeting originally scheduled for today (Sunday, July 23, 2023) it was postponed until further notice.
In October last year, Netanyahu was hospitalized at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. after feeling bad while praying in a synagogue. He was released the next morning after undergoing tests and staying overnight for observation.
Leader of the right-wing Likud party, Netanyahu is the longest-serving prime minister of Israel: 15 years.
Together with his ultra-Orthodox and ultra-nationalist allies, he won the elections last November after having been in power for several periods: 1996-1999 and 2009-2021.
