Thousands of Microsoft Outlook users reported problems accessing and using the email platform Monday morning.
Microsoft 365 outage and problem reports peaked at nearly 18,000 shortly after 11 a.m. Monday morning, according to the outage tracker downdetector . The reports appear to have dropped significantly since then.
Most of the reports expressed problems with Outlook. Many users of Microsoft's email platform shared their frustration on social media, with some noting that they couldn't sign in or upload their accounts.
The company said it was "investigating an issue with access to Outlook on the web" in a Twitter thread posted to its Microsoft 365 Status account, adding that a "downstream impact" was also identified for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. .
Microsoft 365 Status later said that it had rolled back an update and saw a service improvement, soon confirming the recovery of the affected services.
In a statement sent to The Associated Press on Monday afternoon, Microsoft said it had "resolved an issue that prevented users from accessing some of our services."
