According to national media, this section of the National Police began examining alleged abuses of power and acts of force by police officers during the arrests of protesters who took to the streets after the election. More than 200 people arrested were registered.

In this sense, the specialists review the security videos broadcast on social networks about police actions, especially one published in the early hours of this Wednesday, in which the brutality of the police is evident.

This recording showed the violent apprehension of those who demonstrated blocking the streets in the vicinity of the headquarters of the Supreme Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE).

For her part, the prosecutor of the Special Unit for Punishable Acts Against the Security and Coexistence of Persons of the Public Ministry, Fátima Capurro, indicated that among the people arrested is a police officer and four minors.

"The minors are located to the parents so that they can, under the act, responsibly hand over their children and with a warning that they also do not return to the demonstration because next time, perhaps, we will have to charge them," he pointed.

This Monday the protests broke out after the former Paraguayan candidate Cubas denounced an alleged fraud in the general elections, while the TSJE rejects the accusations.
