INM rescues 97 foreigners in Oaxaca who were walking along the road at dawn
Mexico.- The National Institute of Migration (INM) of the Ministry of the Interior rescued 97 foreigners of different nationalities who put their lives at risk by walking on the side of a road in the state of Oaxaca.
The foregoing took place at dawn this Thursday, when Federal Migration Agents (AFM), with the support of elements of the National Guard (GN), carried out humanitarian aid and rescue tours on the Pan-American highway in the municipality of San Pedro Tapanatepec, located in the region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
None of the 97 people managed to prove their regular stay in the country. At the check-up point, they made sure that their state of health was optimal.
Of the total, 38 come from Venezuela, 36 from Ecuador, 10 from Bangladesh, six from Cameroon, four from China and three from Guinea.
The family nuclei were channeled for their guardianship, shelter and protection to the entity's System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF), while the rest of the group was transferred to the INM facilities to continue with their immigration administrative situation.
The INM endorses its commitment to safe, orderly, and regular migration with actions that place respect for the human rights of all foreigners at the center, regardless of their immigration status.
