In Sinaloa, they secure hidden glass packages in truck parts
In Sinaloa, members of the National Guard (GN) seized two courier shipments containing spare parts for trucks, in which hidden apparent glass packages were transported.
As part of the strategic actions to prevent the transfer and distribution of narcotics, currency and firearms, national guards, with prior authorization and with the support of canine pairs, entered a courier and parcel company located in the municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa.
During preventive tracking, a canine specimen was interested in two boxes that were destined for the municipalities of La Paz and Comondú, Baja California Sur, in front of which it showed a change of behavior, followed by the positive indication of an aroma for which it was trained.
To corroborate, they carried out a second search with another canine pair, obtaining a similar indication; For this reason, the members of the institution carried out a thorough inspection and located three spare parts for trucks known as rotochambers.
Upon disarming them, they detected that inside there were packages with a substance that had the characteristics of the synthetic drug known as crystal.
The parcel shipments were insured and made available to the Public Ministry Agency in the entity, to continue the corresponding investigations and determine the exact weight and type of narcotic.
