"At the end of the month, the IMF begins the investigation into the capital flight of the 2018 standby loan and will send a commission that will carry out a review of the 66 percent that, according to the AGN (Auditor General of the Nation ), it was not used to finance hospitals or schools, or to resolve economic stability, but rather it was used to finance payments to investment funds,” Massa said in statements to national media.

In this sense, he noted that the national deputy and president of the Federal Interbloc, Alejandro Rodríguez, presented a draft resolution for the IMF's Independent Evaluation Office to investigate whether part of the loan was used to finance capital flight.

In turn, the head of the Economy portfolio indicated that in 2022 the IMF proposed stopping investment in the Néstor Kirchner gas pipeline while highlighting that the Executive rejected the option.

Likewise, Massa stressed that growth is forecast for next year in the agriculture, energy and mining sectors, which, he emphasized, "will be a great consolidator of Argentina's general account."

Likewise, he addressed the issue of subsidies for public transportation while emphasizing the need to inform the population about its price by expressing that "if the subsidy is removed, it is telling them the truth."

"If we want to recover income in Argentina, we have to gradually reduce subsidies, but on the other hand ensuring that those who need it have it, because the challenge is to build a country of development with inclusion," he added.
