IMF frees 5,400 million dollars for Argentina | News
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) enabled the disbursement of some 5.4 billion dollars for Argentina after the approval of the fourth revision of the agreement with the South American nation.

The IMF assured that all the quantitative objectives of the treaty until December 2022 had been met. These were met with a certain margin thanks to a macroeconomic policy consistent with the goals.
Modifications were also approved to reduce the reserve accumulation objectives contemplating the greatest drought in recent years, which has affected the productivity of the agricultural industry.
The agency highlighted in a statement the need to apply an even stronger package of policies to guarantee stability, face setbacks and ensure the objectives of the program.
In this way, the agency definitively approves the fourth revision of the agreement with Argentina to refinance its debt, raising the total amount of money disbursed to 28.9 billion dollars.
