With a luxury presentation the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF)
return to its traditional annual celebration on September 27 at the Kennedy Center theater.
Its President Antonio Tijerino welcomed the special guests to the Gala with words of welcome and then gave way to the presentation of their sponsors.
The event was hosted by actress Justina Machado In addition, HHF honored the 2022 Hispanic Heritage Awards winners through special vignettes presented by artists and partners including AARP, Boeing, Coca Cola Company, Friends of the National Latino Museum, Nationwide, Southwest Airlines.
The show was opened with the presentation of the famous group Los Lobos; Panamanian singer and songwriter, Boza, highlighted by Billboard as “Latin Artist on the Rise”; and Black Pumas co-founder and guitarist Adrián Quesada and Puerto Rican vocalist iLe (Ileana Cabra) performing “Mentiras Con Cariño,” the opening track of Quesada’s new album, “Boleros Psicodélicos.”
Featuring a special segment on racial solidarity with American singer and godmother of soul, Patti LaBelle.
A special presentation was made by the Queen of Mexican Rock and Latin Grammy winner, Alejandra Guzmán, winner of multiple Grammy awards and Hispanic Heritage Awards 2022, who had an unfortunate accident while singing and had to be taken to the hospital in an emergency.

As part of the festivities, HHF also hosted additional in-person events, including the Latinos On Fast Track Leadership Institute (LLI) Open Space Summit held on September 26 in partnership with the White House and the welcome reception for honorees. ; White House Briefing, Red Carpet and Hispanic Heritage Celebration After Party This year’s honorees included Marvel Studios Executive Producer Victoria Alonso; multiple Grammy winners Los Lobos; aviation pioneer Olga Custodio; and the co-founders of ‘Back To The Roots’, Alejandro Vélez and Nikhil Arora.
