Users of the Apple News service received two notifications with a racist slur.
Apple News pointed out that it was the responsibility of Fast Company, one of the news providers.
Fast Company sent out an incredibly offensive alert, which is the product of an attack. Apple News has deactivated your channel.
For its part, Fast Company explained that its access account to Apple News was hacked and said that the messages do not represent the spirit of the company:
Fast Company’s Apple News account was hacked Tuesday night. Two obscene and racist push notifications were sent within a minute of each other.
The messages are vile and not in line with the content and spirit of Fast Company.
The company promised to review its protocols, meanwhile they took down their website.
