Arsenal se impuso en tanda de penales 4-1 al Manchester City, tras igualar 1-1 en el tiempo regular, para proclamarse campeón este domingo de la Community Shield, encuentro celebrado en Wembley Stadium, donde brilló Leandro Trossard con el tanto del empate al minuto 90+11′ y a las paradas del arquero Aaron Ramsdale.

Después, Ramsdale detuvo la pena máxima a Rodrigo y Arsenal ató el primer título del curso ante su verdugo el año pasado cuando parecía encaminado a su primera Premier en 19 años.
