La llegada del Gullit Peña al fútbol mexicano será únicamente para disputar tres partidos de exhibición con el Deportivo Combate de tercera división, el mexicano sigue siendo ficha del Al-Dhaid de Emiratos Árabes Unidos.
Peña recibió la invitación por parte de Carlos Cortez ex fuerzas básicas del Pachuca y actual representante del Deportivo Combate, según información difundida por ESPN.

“Platicando dijimos que debería venir a disputar unos juegos, para que la gente lo conozca y vaya conociendo el equipo”, explicó Cortez al citado medio. “Carlos Peña no pidió nada. Lo hace por la amistad, lo único que pide es lo básico. No es nada extravagante, nada especial, vuelo y hospedaje”, reiteró.
“Como siempre ha sido humilde, que por algo mantiene sus amistades desde pequeño, dijo que encantado de la vida, de seguir promoviendo el futbol, mientras todo sea para bien”, prosiguió.

Se espera que Peña llegue la próxima semana a Hermosillo, Sonora y entrene con el Deportivo Combate para disputar los tres amistosos previstos, los cuales serán gratuitos para toda la fanaticada.
Como se mencionó anteriormente, Gullit Peña sigue siendo ficha del Al-Dhaid de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, aunque según informaciones de su agente, el mexicano es pretendido en ligas como las de Arabia Saudita, Omán, Bahréin y otros equipos de Emiratos Árabes.
