Government of Guerrero dialogues with members of the CRAC


Guerrero.- In order to follow up on the consultation process of the indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples, this Monday a meeting was held at the Executive Branch Offices, between state government authorities and members of the Regional Coordinator of Authorities. Community – Community Police (CRAC-PC).

The meeting was led by the Secretary General of the Government, Ludwig Marcial Reynoso Núñez, the head of the Legal Department of the State Government, Jorge Salgado Parra, and the Governor’s technical secretary, Pablo André Gordillo Oliveros.

During the meeting, members of the CRAC-PC, accompanied by their legal advisers Rubén Cayetano García and Uriel Leal Ramírez, announced the organization’s interest in the consultation process culminating in a law initiative on rights and indigenous culture before the State Congress.

A new date was instructed to establish proposals for the consultation process. The coordinators of the five Houses of Justice, led by Vidulfo Rosales Sierra, participated in the meeting, as well as representatives of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH).
