At least three people died victims of an explosion that occurred this Thursday in a house in the El Cóndor citadel, north of Guayaquil, head of the province of Guayas and the second most important city in Ecuador.

In this sense, the identified bodies correspond to two women and one man, according to the Guayaquil Fire Department.

According to the same source, there is also an injured person who was rushed to a health center and seven people have been evacuated.



The Fire Department announced that the explosion caused a fire and originated from an accumulation of gas in a restaurant located inside the dwelling.

Around 20 troops and nine units of the Guayaquil Firefighters provided assistance in the emergency.

At the same time, personnel from the Guayaquil Citizen Security Corporation went to the scene to assist those affected and initiate preliminary damage assessments.
