El chino Haiyang Qin rompió el récord mundial de los 200 metros braza en el Campeonato Mundial de Natación Fukuoka 2023 con un tiempo de 2:05.48 mejorando por 47 centésimas la anterior plusmarca, que estaba en poder del australiano Zac Stubblety-Cok en 2:05.95.

Qin se confirma como una de las estrellas de Fukuoka 2023 tras ganar precisamente al australiano Stubblety-Cok por 92 centésimas y con el estadounidense Matt Fallon, tercero a más de dos segundos.
