French government reports 464,769 Covid-19 infections | News

The French Ministry of Solidarity and Health registered 464,769 positive cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, the highest number reported since the start of the pandemic, which also includes infections from last weekend.

According to the entity, on the last day 373 people died from the disease, for a total of 127,638 deaths in the European nation.

Given the situation, the Government of France specified that the rise in positive cases reached its peak, for which the decrease in infections is expected in the coming days.



On the other hand, the number of hospital admissions continues to rise with at least 26,000 hospitalizations, while 4,000 patients are recorded in the intensive care unit.

In the case of the vaccination campaign in the nation, the Health portfolio reported that 53,649,830 nationals received the first dose of the anticovid vaccine, while 32,421,168 received the booster vaccine.

It should be noted that the French National Agency for Medicine and Safety recently conducted a study on the risk of cardiovascular events with mRNA anticovid vaccines, such as Comirnaty and Spikevax, in people aged 18 to 74 years; which confirmed the safety of these doses.
