In what seemed like an encouraging start for Lewis Hamilton in the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix Sprint, it became the opposite. The Mercedes driver admitted that 'we are lost', prior to this Sunday's race.

“For tomorrow we don't know much, we are lost. "I don't know how we got here, I don't know if we have to go in the opposite direction," said the seven-time Formula One world champion to the microphones of Fox Sports.
On lap 1 of the Sprint, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton managed to pass Sergio 'Checo' Pérez to place third and fourth, respectively. In the third lap, the Mexican came back and overtook the Briton.
The native of Stevenage, United Kingdom, indicated the problems his car had on the Interlagos circuit.
“The rear axle was sliding a lot and we also had understeer, it was very difficult to control the balance,” he noted.
Lewis Hamilton finished seventh in the Sprint, with which he was able to add two units, while 'Checo' Pérez added six. The Mexican has 246 points compared to the Mercedes driver's 222.
Not the ending we'd hoped for after that mega start from George and Lewis, but we've taken some important championship points.
