The Kazakhstan authorities reported this Tuesday at least 15 deaths so far from the forest fire detected on June 8 in the Abay region (east).

In relation to the incident, the President of Kazakhstan, Kasim Yomart Tokayev, dismissed the Emergencies Minister, Yuri Ilyin, who had held the position since September 2020, last Saturday.
