For a safe car trip with the smallest of the family

To help all families, the Health and Welfare Centers announce educational classes on how to install safety seats in cars and that the smallest of the household travel safely.

“We are excited to offer these classes to help parents and caregivers learn how to protect their children,” said Cliff Shiepe, executive director of To Help Everyone. “Navigating the car seat installation and upgrade process can be overwhelming for everyone and we are here to help and serve our community.”

Among the topics to be explained:

• California seat belt laws

• Basic crash dynamics

• How car seats and safety belts protect in a crash

• Proper use of seat belts and correct installation of car seats

Attendees may still be eligible to take home a free car seat.
