Festival of Lights opens on 25 in PG

With more lights, displays and entertainment, Prince George’s County announced the 2022 Festival of Lights, billed as the largest of its kind in the Washington DC metropolitan area.

Opening Friday, November 25, this year’s spectacular event will feature dazzling displays of more than 2.5 million LED lights and a giant 54-foot LED musical tree, all on view at Watkins Regional Park, Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy a new horse-drawn carriage ride through the park.

This is the 36th Annual Festival organized by the county Department of Parks and Recreation and will be shown to the media in a preview on Monday the 21st.
